IBIAN®-TGel Staining Solution is a safe nucleic acid stain for the visualization of nucleic acids in agarose and polyacrylamide gels. This dye eliminates the need for toxic ethidium bromide (EtBr, a potent mutagen), commonly used in gel electrophoresis. While EtBr requires UV light for its detection, IBIAN®-TGel can also use UV light if desired, but it can also be detected with blue light, which does not cause skin or DNA damage.
